Thursday Playlist: A mix of everything and a little love

Hey ya'll ( I lived with two Texans for eight months, they grew on me)

I forgot to mention two of my favorite tumblrs yesterday! First, my sweet friend Erin has such a cute tumblr. It's just full of love and is for the hopeless romantic. I just love little lost olive. Next, my friend Talor is one of the funniest and and coolest people ever. EVER. I wish I got to know her more in high school, because honestly I really do think we could get along so well. We share the same views on things...it's awesome. I just can't say how cool she is. I also love her tumblr name talorlynn-awakemysoul. AH Mumford and Sons so great. Please check out their tumblrs and follow them. they are SO awesome. Get to it and I'll get to my playlist.

1. Titanium by David Guetta feat. Sia

I am proud to say that I liked Sia before she was cool. This song is like my confidence, pick me up, I can do anything song. I love it so much and Sia's voice is just great. David Guetta puts in some good beats too. Listen here. Please excuse the somewhat strange music video. I think it's a little strange. Cool but strange.

2. Take Care by Drake feat. Rihanna

Um...yeah I don't know how I came to like this one so much. I don't even like Rihanna. I like Drake though so yeah. I mean I guess it is a hit or miss for people, but I really like it. I'll take care of you. Here's the deal, apparently it's explicit...I um don't ever hear anything explicit in the lyrics when I listen to it though. But just in case I'm not going to link it for you, because what if you hear what I don't? I don't want you blaming me for your guilt. Haha.

3. Giving Me a Chance by Gotye

Love. Love. Love. Love. That's all I have to say. Just listen.

4. Beth/Rest by Bon Iver

It is my FAVORITE song by him. Listen to it with Rainymood and just sit back and take it all in. It makes me cry every time I listen. Without fail. I must have some memory that is linked with it. It just...I don't even know if I can subscribe or say how much I love this song. If you don't like it that's okay. I forgive you.

5. Houdini by Foster the People

Man, I wish more people liked Foster the People's other songs. They are so catchy. I really love the music video to this song, and the little dance that they do. I was hoping they would have some cute dance to go with this song. It makes me wanna dance myself. So groovy.

6. Now I have five songs by The Fray for you. They are all from their newest album Scars & Stories.

-Be Still
-Rainy Zurich
-Munich
-I Can Barely Say
-Heartbreak

My favorite out of the five is Be Still. It is extremely comforting and beautiful.

7.  Never Let Me Go by Florence + the Machine

She is a favorite. I love her music. This song is just SO good. Sorry I'm not good at describing songs. That's why you have to listen to it yourself! I can never find a good video for it on youtube. I suggest listening to it on Spotify, Last FM, you get the gist of it right?

8. Payphone by Maroon 5 feat. Wiz Khalifa

If you don't like swearing...LISTEN TO THE CLEAN VERSION. Trust me.

9.  What If by Jason Derulo

Sappy love song. YAY! Cheesy music video. YAY! Jason Derulo. YAY! Nay?

10. Slow Dancing in a Burning Room by John Mayer

I seriously think I mention this song every minute of every day. I apologize for the one swear it has in it.  The guitar, his voice, the lyrics, the sound. It's all perfect. He performs it live and it brings you chills. I also love this video. I love dancers and dancing. I wish I was talented in that area. Holy cow this makes you cry. Watch and love. It makes me love the song even more.

That's all for today. Listen up and hopefully you find something you like. Comment below with your favorite songs of the moment. Peace!

  1. Maroon 5. John Mayer live. Neeed I say more? :)

No, but I will anyway!!!! REREHEHEHEHEHHEHE!!!! :D (That's code for get ready for a sub-blog of your blog!)
As advertised, this IS an "interesting playlist." :) Me and my friend Kelli are OBSESSED with "Payphone." Sometimes we'll start breaking out in one part of the song at the same time.
And John Mayer....oh, man. He's one of those artists that I have kept around since I've known him. His music sounds cuddling with a man in the winter....yeah. It's great. The live version of "Slow Dancing" was at one time all I listened to. SO. Genius.
I'm putting all of these songs on my YouTube "Musical Delights" Playlist as we speak.

Some of my favorite songs right now:

    1."Featherstone" by The Paper Kites.
I currently have a huge band crush on these guys right now, but I think it might turn into a long-term relationship or a marriage because of this song. Their lyrics have stolen my heart--"Maroon 5. John Mayer live. Neeed I say more? :)

I currently have a huge band crush on these guys right now, but I think it might turn into a long-term relationship or a marriage because of this song. Their lyrics have stolen my heart--
    "When you go,
what you leave is a work of art
    On my chest,
    on my heart"
It breaks my heart and sews it all together at the same time. Man.

Also see "Bloom" By them. OH. MY. GOSH. I die. "Caaan I be cloooose to you?" :) I'M MELTING!

    2. "Now is the Start" by A Fine Frenzy.
Now this is one of the bands that I am married to. I am deeply in love and it's helped my through every bad day, through every good day, through every break up, through every piece of art I've made. Every song she has ever written has so much hope and movement to it.
This song in particular helped me with the most serious break-up I ever had-- the one with that man that helped me wake up the first time. I felt like that was the end, and everything was gonna get worse.
Then I listened to this song. It ignited something in my soul that has kept me going and hoping for progress in my life. It was my life support when my best friends couldn't be around. It literally sounds like a "new start."
Some of my other favorites of hers:
    -Think of You
    -Coming Around
    -What I Wouldn't Do
    -Bird of the Summer
-AND EVERYTHING ELSE SHE'S EVER DONE. She's amazing, okay?!
