A music dry spell...

Thursday, October 3, 2013

It has been a while since one of these have been posted. One is long over due...but I'm going to be honest, I haven't been listening to much. With school, work, and wedding duties listening to music either goes unlistened to or it is playing in the background so faintly that I can't even tell what I'm listening to half the time. But here are a few lovely little tunes that have struck a chord with me these past few weeks. Also, it wouldn't be half bad if you commented below with some suggestions. I am SO game for new songs for my ears.

1. Roar by Katy Perry

2. Dust to Dust by The Civil Wars

This. Oh my gosh. It's the loveliest thing I've heard in a really long time.

3. Young by The National Parks

4. Helsinki by The National Parks

5. Bird's Eye by The National Parks

6. Brightly Beams Our Father's Mercy by The Lower Lights

7. Pompei by Bastille

On repeat.

8. Be Thou My Vision by The Lower Lights

P.S. The Lower Lights and The National Parks are local bands here in Provo so they don't have a lot of stuff on YouTube. I HIGHLY recommend listening to them on Spotify. You will NOT be sorry.

Happy listening!
Stay gold.

  2. I LOVE Bastille! ALL of their songs! I also love Safe and Sound by Capital Cities, One Day by Matisyahu (Reggae for the win!), and 3000 Miles by Emblem3 :)
