For the loveliest woman I know...

To Mom,

Thank you for teaching me how to love myself. I look at girls around me and I see pain in their eyes because I see that they can't accept who they are. They don't know who they are. They are chameleons who form to everything and everyone around them. You taught me different. You taught me to be my own person, to love who I am. To accept myself. To love the real Dani. I couldn't thank you enough for that mom. I couldn't.

Thank you for teaching me that red onion, red pepper, and garlic make a very tasty combination for any dinner dish.

Thank you for teaching me patience. You are the most patient person it's true. My heart hurts a little when I think of the times that I would try to push your buttons until you lost it. It only happened once and I truly deserved the verbal rebuttal I got from you. I remember that day that I decided I would never try to hurt you like that again.

Thank you for teaching me how to move on from heart ache and heartbreak. Thanks for telling me that I am worth more than a boyfriend. Boys do not make who I am. I can be alone for a while and be okay I can be patient on this little love journey, and I can also love.

Ultimately mom, thank you for teaching me how to love. To be kind. To have a heart for everyone. You truly  are all of those things mom. You are kind and you are love. You are charity, Mom. You are beautiful in every way and I love you so much.

Thank you mom, thank you for everything single thing in my life. I don't know how I would survive college or life without you.

I really do want to grow up to be just like you. You are the loveliest. And you are gold. Golder than gold.

Yes. You. Are.

Love, Dani
