What You Should Be Buying // Sweaters That Stand Out

1 //  Lately, I've been all about being present and in the moment, and for some reason this beautiful grey sweater's embroidered "you are here" spoke to me. Reading review, the fit is weird on this one. Weird fit can be tricky. This one will probably be put on the back shelf until I can actually try it on. 

2 // Call me kitschy, but I love the kitty elbow patches. 

3 // Ok so I liked this whole outfit, but a chunky cardigan never hid its face during the fall season. p.s. the hat...daaaaahling. 

 4 // I was at Express today looking at clothes for my brother and of course I moseyed my way over to the women's section. I learned two things. First, the women's section in Express has becoming tragically overpriced and second, they have the MOST INCREDIBLE fringy sweater. It's salty and peppery and slouchy and AWESOME. Straight out of a Philip Lim fashion show.  This ASOS version is cheaper and just a bit cooler. 

5 // A creamy cable knit is a fall/winter wardrobe staple for me. I love this one all flecked with black and perfectly perfect. Also, they have a burnt red and lilac version. Be still my heart I am all about those colors. 

6 // Speaking of pops of red. Don't you just love longline cardigans? Plus, red just looks great with crisp white and the blackest black. Gooooood ooooold weeeeberrrr. Shhhhh. 

7 // If you didn't know this already, I am all about grey sweaters, but I love finding ones with unique twists and details like this one. The rib paneling is ultra cool. 

8 // HALLELUJAH! This is a Forever 21 miracle. Oh my word...it's going in my shopping bag right yes right now. 

9 // Get frenchie-chic in this piece. I love anything with french words on it. 

10 // Saved the best for last. The Rowhouse Sweater by Madewell is my absolutely favorite. It's soft and flattering and fashionable and just wonderful. You can wear it with a skirt, with jeans, with anything. I have it in black (my favorite) and a fiery red. I want the grey one of course and I just might get it. It's worth it, really.

Confession...

I love Forever 21. Love it. So much. Get married, and you'll see why. Cute clothes. Sometimes crappy quality. But after a good search or two, you find those darn adorable, pretty good quality clothes for ULTRA cheap.

You may not believe me, but give it a try. The same goes for H&M. Eat a good breakfast or lunch, bring a water bottle in your satchel, and have an idea of what you want. Go into the store with a purpose and a patience and you will strike gold.

4 // This will always be a favorite. I think this zippered sweatshirt has been around since I first started shopping at F21.

1. Tyler and I are in LOVE with this sauce. (Psst. Would anyone with a Costco card be willing to buy this for us when they go? We will be most grateful and we will pay you back.) It's unreal.

2. So excited to try this recipe next week. Who doesn't love a ONE DISH meal?

Where to shop?

I am on the hunt for affordable (and when I say affordable, I don't mean J.Crew 40% off.) I mean affordable and stylish places to buy clothes and shoes and accessories and what not. You get the drill, right? So sound off in the comments if you have anything other than H&M and Forever 21, which I will be mentioning in this post.

So right now, my obsessions have been black sweaters, skinny jeans, sneakers, and booties. And this could be because my feet hate me for wearing this flats that are on my feet right now, today. Here are my picks when it comes to clothes that I just mentioned (and then some.)

1 // H&M is having a killer sale right now. 50% off all sales items, and I have found legit gems on the sales rack. And this could be one of them. Throw this on with everything. Literally everything. Like I'm gonna do it. 

2 // Calling my name. Calling it. 

3 // Okay imagine this with boyfriend jeans ripped just right, the blackest skinny jeans, underneath a perfectly slouchy sweater...or the boucle cardigan that's coming up. 

4 // So this one time I found these in army green at H&M and totally passed them up. That won't happen again. 

5 // Now this is gold. And with that silk blouse. Oh yeah.  

6 // Could this get any better?

7 // Adidas, you had me at "Stan." 

8 // Chelsea boots get me.

9 // Totally tried these on in black as well and it was foot heaven. So comfortable and so cute. Like for real you guys. 

10 // Saved the best for last. THE CREME DE LA CREME! These are so good, even Tyler wants me to get them. And I think I will.

Well if this obsession couldn't get any worse...beanies have been added to the mix!

I bring lunch for Tyler and I every morning and it makes me feel like a house wife and I really like it because domesticity isn't my strongest suit. Well I walk in and he has the coolest sweatshirt on and I got this pang of jealousy and strong desire to go shop. And then I saw a girl from my ward last year wearing the prettiest beanie with the prettiest gray sweatshirt and I had to make a wish list. So yes. Here is a wish list of sweatshirts and beanies. Eee!
