I'm too lazy to write something...

So...I'll just show you instagrams of stuff that makes me really happy.

Sour Cream Coffee Cake. Want the recipe? Lemme know!
Baked chicken, white rice, and green salad. Want the recipe for the chicken? Also lemme know about that one.

My artistic shot of the week. Actually this was a latergram.
We heart-attacked our best guy friend. It was super girly and kind of reminded me of Junior High, but it was so worth it. Happy birthday, Braden! Love you!
The Chocolate's famous Cazookie. Uh...perfection in a baked good. Really. SO amazing. Next time you are in the Provo/Orem area make a pit stop at the chocolate and bring a buddy to share.
Do you like taking pictures of everything? Are you kinda Instagram obsessed? I might be guilty of being a little too into taking pictures of my life. Especially food. What makes you happy?

Wishlist Wednesday: Camping, Fall Weddings, and Pinspirations

Wednesday, October 3, 2012

Last night I had a "Once Upon a Pizza Night" with my roommates and former roommates. I realized late last night afterwards, that I had nothing in my wishlist, except for the jumper I'm going to show you. That won't stop me though, get ready for a little blubbering over fall weddings and pinspiration.

So first, the jumper.

Fall makes me want to camp. I know, summertime is usually camping time, but seriously when it starts getting cool and the mountains start to change, I can't help but want to get out there. Wrap myself in sweaters and hats, and sleep in a tent under the stars. I want a camp fire, I want to cook food over it, and I want to share blankets with people I love. I have the camping bug right now. Thus, this sweater/jumper, whatever you want to call it.

1

How fitting right? Can I please have this? Who wants to get it for me for Christmas? Or for Thanksgiving? Pun intended, I would be a happy camper if I got this. Yep. Pretty much.

Because I have been on such a fall kick, I have desired a fall wedding. This surprises me, because I've always wanted to be married in June (Seven brides anyone?) There are so many problems with those when you're a college student though (including the fact that I'm no where near getting engaged).  I mean fall means school, midterms, interesting weather (if you live in Utah), but it would be so beautiful. Just look at these pictures and I'm sure I'll have you convinced.

Pinspiration

I even attempted to recreate this look.

I know it's not even close to being impeccably styled, but when you're a college student and only have a bathroom mirror to take pictures, it's the best you can do.

When you would want to get married? Which season? Which month? Do you love camping? Do any of you want to go on a camping trip with me? What has been inspiring your wishlists lately? Comment below and have a happy day!

Friday Favorites: So Busy, But SO Blessed

Friday, September 21, 2012

Favorites of the week.

1. Although I'm desperately trying to catch up in school, I have been so grateful for the moments of reflection I had this week. I had the opportunity to go chaperone some students on a hike this week. It was up this beautiful trail and at the end there was a waterfall. The trees were all vibrantly colored. Yellow. Orange. Red. Green. The sun was peeking through. It was so lovely. I was able to relax and breathe in nature. I was able to forget the stressful things I have had to do. Yes, I still need to write two papers, but I sure am glad I got a break from remembering them.

Here are some of the Instagrams I took while on the hike...

The Trail

Fall is here.

Just a hipstagram.

And finally...the waterfall. My calves were burning and my voice was giving out from yelling at students to stop running on the edge of the cliff. You would think they would be smart enough to know NOT to do that.

2. BYU Football
I know, I can't believe I'm saying it...but it was a favorite. Yeah we lost and it was heartbreaking and I wanted to throw the TV out the window, but I was surrounded by the greatest people. And it makes it worth it. I mean really though. I love my ward.

3. Not having to go to the Sewing lab.
That is always a blessing. I get to sew at home with my mom. YES!

4. Passing my TSA.
Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and blogger. I owned you!

5. A visit from Valley Boy.
He makes me happy. What to do. What to do....hmmm.

6. Red Robin
YUMMMMM

7. Candles...specifically ones that smell like French Baguettes. Seriously though...it smells like freshly baked bread. Ohhh yes.

So I posted something everyday! I am back in the groove! Thanks for sticking around friends. Leave me your favorites in the comments and STAY GOLDEN! Always.

HAVE A VERY HAPPY WEEKEND!

Terrific Tuesday: Happiness Is...About Me

Yellowstone 2012

Monday, July 9, 2012

I got back from Yellowstone this past Friday, and thought I should share with you some of the pictures that I took on the trip. Enjoy and have a great Monday!
First stop: Jackson Hole, WY for the Alpine Slide

After a day of sliding and swimming we hit up Bubba's for DELICIOUS bar-b-que. YUM!

Dad, daughter, brother

The trees by Lewis Lake in Yellowstone NP.

The wind was blowing...Mom was cold. What's new? Love her.

Spencer was tired after a night of no sleep due to allergies so he caught some shut eye. Yes those are towels.

Spent an hour at Yellowstone Lake. Skipping rocks, looking at birds, being jealous of kayaks and their passengers.

Yes...I took a picture with a fake bison.

Old Faithful
Tall and faithful as ever.

The siblings and I took the 2 mile walk to Morning Glory Pool. Poor thing is dying. She used to be so much more colorful.

Another pool. Beautiful blue. The camera seriously doesn't do it justice.
We ate dinner in the Lake area that night, and we were graced with a wonderful Fourth of July parade, by the workers in the area. Thank you for making our day just a bit brighter.

Inspiration Point (Artist's point)
It looks like a painting. Lower falls.

The next morning we decided to make our way down Uncle Tom's Trail. I think it's a 6,000 foot descent. Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, you go down, down, down.

Dad making his way down. What a beautiful trail, surrounded by trees. Nature at its best.

Dad and siblings going down the first long flight of stairs. There were many.

You can't tell but over the railing, there is a cliff and a bunch of mist from Lower Falls.

Mom and I had wobbly knees. So many stairs, and there is an illusion as if you are walking on the rocks because you can see through the stairs. If that makes sense, it's kinda creepy. BUT AWESOME!

My beautiful mom making her way down. Imagine climbing back up. Yeah...it's rough.

Lower Falls. A shot from the end of the trail. You stand on this platform and fight for a clear view. Thank goodness a lot of people were making their way back up. It gets crowded.

Trees on the trail. So beautiful. If you go to Yellowstone I definitely recommend making your way down Uncle Tom's. The way down is easy, the way up is hard, but both ways are just absolutely stunning. As I said before, Nature at its best.
