Wishlist Wednesday // Gap is so good right now.

GAP had a really slow moment for a minute there. Every time I walked in I was bombarded by black denim, and don't get me wrong, I love black denim. Let's get real though, black denim paired with really poorly tailored sweaters is no good.

But online GAP got some new arrivals and they are offering 2-day free shipping today and these newbies won't be in store until the 30th. I'm just saying.

1 // This plaid car coat is killing me right now. This beauty comes at a over-$100 price range, but GAP always has a good sale and this should be on your list if you want to jump on the plaid trend and a classic silhouette. 

2 // Sherpa-lined everything ever since I watched Friday Night Lights. Tyler and I BOTH want the classic Tim Riggins denim jacket, sherpa collar and all. This is the edgy motorcycle mountain babe version of it. 

3 // Let's talk about this parka. Oh man, I can't even talk about it because I'm speechless! All I'm going to say is that this baby runs large and it was featured in Vogue. Listen to Anna, she won't lead you astray. 

4 // I'm so drawn to marled red sweaters. They remind me of cinnamon tea and fire places. I mean. Plus the pockets could make you look cute or bunchy. It's worth the risk. 

5 // The color of this beautiful sweater is mushroom. You better believe the first thing I thought of was this one time in Germany my mom and I ate this delicious and creamy mushroom soup before a hike to mountain castles. It sounds really dreamy especially since it was rainy and I had a bag full of kinder candy. It was the dreamiest. 

You might as well pack this sweater for your next German mountain excursion. 

6 // This isn't from the GAP. It's from Urban Outfitters and I hate that place. You know that. But I want this sweater. Oh I want it so bad. Just click the link and look at it. You'll want it too. 

7 // I really like this take on the "GAP" logo tee. It's different and a little Madewell/J.Crew. You better believe I like that. 

8 // Who said you can't wear fall florals? Maybe Miranda Priestly but screw her right?

Inspired // Stripes

To be honest, it's hard NOT to be inspired by stripes. They are a crowd favorite and although curmudgeons like to tell you they make you look wide and busty, who cares. That's a pretty regular myth anyway. I say screw it Sailor. Wear all the stripes you can. Here are some class black and white stripes you can work this fall. 

Mind you, stripes of any color and variety are great. I am also partial to navy and white, red and navy, and white and red. Oooo I can taste the classic from here! 

1 // One of my favorite looks. Black jeans with a striped shirt. It's simple but it's put together. I have a Saint James tee that I absolutely love. I found it on eBay on a killer dealer and it has lived up to its reviews. If I wake up in the morning and I am having a bad case of "outfit block" I pull this look on and I'm good to go. People may think I'm basic, but sometimes you gotta be basic. 

2 // Hatch Collection is the J.Crew of Momma clothes. If only I had the money to splurge on their beautiful pieces. On the bright side they are well worn investments because you can wear the stylish pieces before, during, and after pregnancy. The whole look is precious. So precious I could wrap it up in a silver bow and give it to you for Christmas. (What the heck, Dani?) 

3 // Striped sweaters! Whoduhthunk? 

4 // *Breathes in immense amount of fresh air* that's how I feel when I see Alexa Chung's street looks. She is one of my style icons. I love the yellow, the tights, the striped dress, the coat. The everything. 

5 // A unique and simply lovely dress for just about every occasion. 

6 // And lastly, my goal is to recreate this look. It's perfectly  put together and I love that. I love effortless looks that you can fill your closet with. I really want to fill my closet with pieces that I could grab in the dark and be satisfied wearing when I walk out of the house.

Inspired // Bring on the coats

1 // I want to rock this look this fall. I love the simple coolness.  2 // The elements to this outfit are so simple. White sneakers. Regular wash skinny jeans. Oversized white t-shirt. Black sweater. Light colored coat. You're good to go. I also think the delicate gold necklace is the perfect touch.  3 // A pop of red can never do you wrong. Neither will a pop of plaid either. 4 // A pop of leopard never hurt nobody either.  5 // Olivia Palermo can work any look. I kid you not. One day she will look impeccably fancy, and the next she'll look impeccably like this. I need to master this finesse. 6 // Scarves are so good. I can't wait to break them out again.  7 // My fall closet in a nutshell. Also, if you haven't gotten a pair of slip-on sneakers, where have you been?  8 // Okay so we can't all look like we've walked straight out of Paris, but we can try.  9 // I love the extra "V" detail of this gray sweater. Also... I've seen those kicks everywhere on campus.  10 // Guys, I'm having a mad love hate relationship with this sweater. Hate: It's from Urban Outfitters. Love: It comes in a gorgeous olive green, and I mean, just look at it.  11 // Everyone raves about Rachel Comey "getting them." Well, here's my two cents about that...she gets me.  12 // DO as the Europeans do. No really, just do it.  13 // Ooo doesn't this make you want to mix gray cable knits with deep red plaids? Yeah, me too. 14 // And of course a post by Dani is no post without Birkenstocks. Long live!  What's inspiring you? Are you totally crapped out because the format of this post is wonky? Welp. Fall is always good to me. I want it to come so fast my toes ache. Also...I've decided to not let my comfort in my clothes be determined by pounds lost. I mean, I always say that...but it's always good to make that commitment again.

I'm also making a big leap and buying more black. I think my hearts a little black. I don't know. What do you think? What's inspiring you for this Fall? Let's discuss. Or not. Whatever you like.

1 // This chunky, oversized, structured, boxy, tweed what have you sweater has been on my pinterest wish list for like as long as I've had a pinterest. Why is it not in my closet? 

2 // Because stripes and gray are always a must. They just are. Like...don't you think? I mean...You can't really go wrong. 

3 // Well hot dog! A leather jacket and floral skirt. I think I want to try the midi skirt, sock, and boot kind of thing. I like that a lot actually. Frumptastically stylish.

The wishlist is lacking!

What is happening to me? A lacking wishlist? Nah...I always have things on my wishlist. In fact, today I saw my friend Laura and she just so happened to be in the cutest leather pants, with the cutest white blouse, with the cutest denim jacket over it, topped off with the cutest scarf and the prettiest hair. So it's safe to say that I am wishing right now that I could be Laura. Or at least have her outfit along with the booties she was wearing. But there are only two items that I want to share with you today.

My roommate Kaitlyn got me on a leather jacket fix. This one. Yes and yes. Those shoulders.

So cute. Oversized cuteness.

What's on your wishlist? Do you ever see impeccably dressed people and just wish that you could have that outfit RIGHT NOW? Just the story of my life, that's all. Anyway, stay gold, kiddos. 

Madewell and J.Crew Factory are OFFICIALLY my favorite. As if you didn't already know that.

Oh man. Words can't even start to describe how much I want to go shopping right now.

1 // I saw a girl in the library wearing the camel colored version of this. It was dreamy...but this is dreamier. Gray always gets me. Plus the intarsia French girl? Irresistible.

2 // Stripe AND polka dots?! Pattern colorblocking!? No way!

3 // Straight from the Men's section, WITH elbow patches. I died and went to sweater heaven!

4 // It comes in this dusty and deep moody blue. Oh man.

5 // When I was adding this to the wishlist, Tyler was like...Oooo I really like that. You should get that. And I think I shall. This is probably my favorite pick of the bunch. The black version is killing it too.

6 // I walked into the store the other day and this was the first thing to catch my eye. This is a gem. A gem and a half.

7 // Sometimes Madewell makes the perfect sweater. This is that sweater.

9 // NO. This one for sure. Red is going to be huge this Fall. I can feel it. (Dani, let's get real, Red is huge every season.) Can I just have that whole outfit?
