Friday Favorites: Because we all know that we want that Anthropologie dress...

And the candles. Oh man...I lusted after Volcano for SO long, but how could I even justify buying a $28 in the most beautiful jar? I couldn't. So what did I do? I waited. I waited and my patience was rewarded because I got one from my roommate for a wedding present. Of course, she's a gem, I tell you.

Speaking of weddings. Tyler and I reached our two months yesterday. Hey Ty, I know you're reading this so here are two pictures that make up my feelings for these two month.

So what are your plans for the weekend? Tyler and I are going to an Oscar viewing party, we are even filling out ballots. I'm super partial to Jennifer Lawrence and Captain Phillips, but I have a feeling Gravity and 12 Years a Slave are going to sweep it. I don't know. You never know, muchachos...American Hustle could make it...which would make me so happy. Are you so mad Tom Hanks didn't get any love? And the original song nominations kind of miff me. Don't get me wrong, I love "Let It Go" but "I See Fire" and "Fare Thee Well" deserved something big time. Anyway, Oscars mini rant done. We also have to go grocery shopping really bad. Oh and homework. Homework has to be done. You know the drill.

Cardi Decisions: Wedding Style

FRIENDS, FAMILY, THOSE IN THE RANGE OF MY VOICE...or blog. Or whatever. I need YOUR help!

So I know this ultimately MY decision, but I have found 3 cardigans that I LOVE for putting over my dress, seeing as I'm getting married in December. I know that I will like anyone that I choose. It would be totally cool if you could voice your opinions or send me links to other cardigans in the comments below. I CHOOSE YOU! Here we go.

{Kate Spade Saturday // Wrap-it-up Sweater} I originally wanted a wrap cropped cardigan from Anthropologie, but I found out it was from 3 years ago...so I had to look for alternatives and Kate Spade did the trick. So lovely and clean and white. Embellished with a necklace or brooch. So good.

{Anthropologie // Ardennes Cardigan} This cardigan is ALMOST perfect. The sleeves aren't long enough and the buttons don't go all the way down. It's not too crucial, because this is beautiful.

 {Anthropologie // Ruffle Coda Cardigan} A refreshing pop of color with a form flattering ruffle. Oh dear..which one do I choose?

I knew you were wearing J.Crew when you walked in...

So the other day, Tyler and I were caught in the craziest rain storm as he was dropping me off. I was wet, my back ached, and I was tired when I walked into my apartment. Much to my pleasant surprise, my ever so thoughtful and kind roommates had made treats to bring to our new neighbors. I tagged along and once Lauren (our new neighbor) opened the door, I exclaimed, "Hi we're your neighbors!" And then I pointed straight at her (rude, I know. I know.) And said "J.Crew, your sweater is from J.Crew." I just knew it. And she expressed a bright yes and then we talked about clothes for five seconds and I tried to hide my creepiness, because really though, I had just added the sweater in two colors to this wishlist. So here it is. The sweater she was wearing and other things I can't afford just yet. Just because.

P.S. I forgot to mention that she had Volcano burning in her apartment and that just so happens to be my favorite candle scent ever. You can imagine just how weird she thought I was when I immediately mentioned that too. Soul sisters? Just maybe.

The Sweater

1 // Of course I first saw it on Rachel. We're on a first name basis, not really.  And of course, I wanted it in every color. Can we never move on from the neon trend, ever, please? J.Crew does it so well. It's just too good.

2 // But really, if I'm gonna spend 88 dollars on a sweater, it better be a neutral color that I will wear the heck out of. You know me so well J.Crew. You know me so well gray, black and white, you really do. This sweater is screaming my name. P.S. This beauty is selling out so fast. Hopefully I can find it in stores.

6 // *Boom* Mind blown. I need to jump on this camo trend asap. It doesn't even look bad. It looks like the trendiest pattern out there and I am all about trendy things. (Confession)

9 // I always come back to these boots. They are perfect. In every way. Don't even try to fight it.

Well now that I have had a J.Crew overdose...I'm going to leave you to your own wishing. Please bless, that I get that sweater...or that I get a good paycheck. Or that that sweater is in the store. Because I NEED it. That is a need people, okay maybe not. Until later. (geeez I need to calm down.)

For a future home...

I have this feeling that when I get married I will be really tempted to register my husband and I at Anthropologie, strictly for their home furnishings/goods. But of course I won't do that, because that seems rude, but a girl can dream. (I feel like I use that that phrase every wishlist...oh well.)

First of all, when I walk into Anthropologie I go straight to the aprons, not the cute sweater or sequin skirts, the aprons. I am wishing for this one. Can't you see me assembling a crock pot meal or making scrumptious baked goods in this?

Then I head on over to the mugs. Monograms, mix and match saucers, or this lovely, minty cup perfect for sipping tea from.

And then I squeal at all the cooking utensils. I need measuring hedgies and measuring spoons with little ducks on them. Make sure not to drop them though, everything is made of glass or some sort of ceramic.

Isn't this magnetic timer so retro looking? It's way cooler than using the timer on the microwave. Hands down, cooler.

Update: Life Lately in Instagrams

Get ready for a whole lot of Instagrams, Dani's Life Style.

I thought I would provide a little update, since I haven't posted many photos in awhile. Enjoy!



 




1. After a bloody nose, jean stains, a trip to 5 European countries, and a festival of colors, it was time to get a new bag. So I got the Fossil satchel shown above, only in mustard yellow, because it seems that I can't resist anything mustard yellow. Did I mention it's leather? Yeah, I felt fancy. I upgraded from canvas my whole existence to leather. Let's have a round of applause for Dani making grown up decisions.

2. Speaking of becoming a grown up, I can make my own clothes now. Well sort of. I can make oxblood colored pleated skirts...and I can get A's on them. I conquered sewing since the last time I uploaded pictures. Please don't ask me to make you one. It really will cause me a lot of anxiety.

3. I saw a guy giving an intense back massage. I really wanted to ask him to stop because it seriously go uncomfortable, and frankly I was trying to feel the spirit. And he was getting a little TOO intimate.

4. I went to Temple Square with the most beautiful girls I know. What a beautiful way to kick off the Christmas season.

5 and 6. And while we were there, I dreamed of owning everything in the Anthropologie window, and I treated myself to the best red velvet cheesecake on the planet. Thank you City Creek and thank you Cheesecake Factory.

7. I had plenty of study parties.

8. And I ate some more, with more beautiful people. Great food and great company make for a great time. The creamery has the best chicken strips and cracked pepper fries. Oh and let's not forget their German Chocolate Crunch and Peanut Butter Trails ice cream. Oh man, I would drive an hour and a half to get some right now.

9. So then...I got some pizza, but it wasn't just any old pizza. It was the best pizza on the planet people. The best. Okay so I am pretty sure there is better pizza in this world, but SLAB pizza takes the cake on a Rosemary Potato Bacon Pizza, and a Thai Chicken Pizza. The pieces are huge and you can split them with a friend or awesome sibling. I chose the sibling.

10. Finals week came and I spent a lot of my time in the library. I studied like there was no tomorrow. There is a certain hunger that you have for home and mine was insatiable. (Look at me using big words...what a college student.)

11. A letter from my Valley Boy missionary came, and I was the happiest girl that day. Some days I miss Jarett more than anything but I know he is serving the Lord and that is where I want him to be. Oh Elder Iverson, you are the greatest.

12. Then I finally got home. I finished my exams and my first night home I went and looked at lights with my Daddy-O.

13. I also came home to the most festive and Christmasey house. It was like my mom became Buddy the Elf when she was decorating.

14. Well it is considerably colder up north, and my fall jacket wasn't doing it's job. So I went coat shopping. I haven't found the one yet. But the two in the picture are definitely on my list. I guess I'll let Santa choose.

16. I found the outfit of my future husband...on a mannequin...and I really wished it was real.

17. I almost got a really great chambray shirt. It's a shame when things don't fit right and aren't flattering. Tsk. Tsk.

Wishlist Wednesday: Black Friday Picks

Sorry this is late. I had a wonderful evening which will be spoken of later. While Black Friday Shopping, I only picked up one thing that I really needed, but while I was shopping I picked some things that might help you with your gift shopping this year...and it so happens to be my Christmas Wishlist...the not so grown up kind.

1. AE Heritage Fleece Hoodie

I tried this on during Black Friday and it is probably the softest and most comfortable hoodie I have ever worn. Unfortunately, it wasn't on the best sale possible so I didn't get it. Seriously though, it has a sweater hood and the warmest fleece inside. If you are in the market for a new hoodie, add this to your Christmas list.

2.  Oxblood Coated Jeggings

 I have this obsession for the oxblood trend right now. I didn't intend to go in, try these on, and fall in love, but I did. I tried them on with the hoodie and it was a match made in heaven. I love it when outfits come together like that. For being coated jeggings, they are incredibly comfortable, and they are a pretty normal color if you compare it to the neon jean trend. You could wear these for ages. Well not really..but you know what I mean.

3.  Karinska Tulle Skirt

The most perfect and beautiful tulle skirt I have seen in stores. It truly is lovely. Wear it on New Year's. Wear it on Valentine's Day. Or wear it just for fun.

This dress has "Dani" written all over it. Especially the way they styled it in the second picture. I wouldn't mind this dress in Snapdragon either. Isn't Kate Spade delightful?

5. These Coats, 1, 2, and 3.

I am in love with the leather sleeve trend, so naturally, I found an affordable anorak for those wanting to spend a little more on a coat.

The second coat looks much better in navy blue. Taylor Swift inspired...don't you think? 

I tried on the third coat in a camel color and it was very beautiful. The hardware really makes this coat. 

6.  Heather Leather Watch in Sand from Fossil

A simple, yet stylish watch for those that want something special on their wrist this holiday season. Also, the price is way better than a $250 Michael Kors...sigh. Still wishin' for this one.
